Are there any tv shows you still like from your childhood…

That have little to do with who you are now ? I still enjoy The Wild,Wild West (the tv show, not the movie), and watch it on Pluto TV. A few of the episodes haven’t aged well, but others are still great. My favorites remain "The Night of The Man-Eating House" and "The Night of The Undead".

I sometimes find an old series which I used to enjoy on line or on an 'oldies' TV station, but often they seem so old fashioned I wondered why I had been so nostalgic about them. But some series, like the '60s Batman are still as corny as ever (is that expression used in the US?) and still worth a groan to watch again occasionally. I'm sure the strings on the puppets in Thunderbirds and Stingray are more obvious today than they were to a 10 year old. 😂

There are a lot more series I have watched again and realised I had forgotten how slow things were in British TV drama until comparatively recently which actually is quite nice. I think the British stage tradition drove it as opposed to the US film/movie background of those westerns and adventure dramas.
@FreddieUK Yes, ‘corny’ was often heard here, too, describing the series, although it was great fun (Holy Tintinabulation, Batman !)

I'm actually currently rewatching all the original Thunderbirds episodes currently having found them on the free itvx streaming service in the UK.

I used to totally love them as a kid.

The Munsters
The Addams Family
I Dream of Jeanie
Bewitched
Original Star Trek
Dr Who…reported the BBC may be axing it again.
The Phil Silvers Show.
The only British show in that list is Dr.Who!
@Mesthartiya Like The Flinstones before it, Top Cat was based on a successful US sitcom.

Whereas Fred and Barney were the animated versions of Jackie Gleason and Art Carney, so TC and his gang were the feline equivalents of Sgt. Ernie Bilko and the gang of Fort Baxter. Like the Phil Silvers character, Top Cat was always wheeling, dealing and scheming, looking for a fast buck and hoping to hit 'the big one', much to the consternation of local neighbourhood cop Officer Dibble.

Arnold Stang supplied the Phil Silvers imitated voice for 'the indisputable leader of the gang', whilst Benny the Ball was voiced by none other than Private Duane Doberman himself, actor Maurice Gosfield. Other characters included Choo Choo, Spook, The Brain and Fancy Fancy. The series was renamed for British audiences to Boss Cat because there was a cat food called Top Cat on sale in the UK.
@TheSirfurryanimalWales Fair enough :D
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@TheSirfurryanimalWales I always wondered why we renamed it. It's taken some 60 years to find out. Thanks. 😂

I might be going out on a limb here, but I am guessing that if you were to explain what you enjoy about that show, that among other reasons the phrase "easy on the eyes" would come up.....🤔
@DrWatson There is that, but believe it or not, Ross Martin was more the "type" I tended to admire than Robert Conrad, although I realized the latter was attractive. 😊

@bijouxbroussard A friend and I used to take turns going to each other's house on Friday nights to watch TV. We both agreed that Artemis was the cooler one.
PEACH4LIFE · 46-50, F
Murder She Wrote. I was young but I remember watching it with my older sister and now whenever I crawl into bed I always put it on. It reminds me of a great time in my life.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Star trek the original is on every day except on Saturdays on H&I. M.A.S.H. is still on every weekday, on ME TV.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@LILY61 I must say that I have seen them all multiple times over. 🤣

That doesn't stop me from occasionally watching them though.
@DeWayfarer i was immersed in MASH.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M

FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard I think, but my memory may be playing tricks, that he was called to do the job earlier than he did, but was contracted elsewhere (RS?) and not available.
@FreddieUK Yes, that’s correct. When first approached he couldn’t get out of his RS contract.
