Yes, I didn't like it. The book is so much better. I'd say the 90% of the book's charm was in the atmosphere of New York at exactly that time it was set in which movie has nothing to do with.

Oh it‘s a good movie. Excellent acting, a compelling 1920s atmosphere, a love triangle, the clash between old money and new money, fantastic music, at times it’s a little bit odd yet in a good way and with a tragic ending. They went a little overboard with the CGI animations for certain shots but I can look past that.
