RIP Terri Garr -

I first remember her from the Sonny and Cher show...I had to google the date (1972) and looking at her IMDB she was amazingly busy...

Always a smile, terrific in Young Frankenstein, hopefully she was happy in RL and rests in peace.

I probably saw her on Sonny and Cher, but I don't remember.

My memory of when she first made an impression on me was in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." It was a dramatic role, not a comic one, and she nailed it.
@DrWatson

Yes! Teri stole every skit she appeared in. Much cuter than Cher, too :D

I can’t remember her but I wish her a peaceful rest. Sad that we are losing so many of our good actress/actors in the last couple of years.
you must have seen mr, mom,,,,no?
Monday40 · 51-55, F
@beermeplease no I didn’t.
@Monday40 that was a classic. try and watch it some time. it was with michael keaton also
I remember her in After Hours, in which she played a rather offbeat character in an equally offbeat movie. RIP

@BrewCityBarfly That was a crazy movie - I wonder if it stands the test of time...maybe will try for a rewatch...
@fun4us2b Haven't watched in quite some time. I haven't been to NYC or Soho in a long time, that would be the only thing that might date it to some folks. Oh, and some may not even know who Cheech and Chong are. Still, it's a fun movie.

@BrewCityBarfly Cool clips here - I think it's a definite rewatch for me...

Aww man, I had the biggest crush on her as a kid. Full moon in blue water was what did it for me.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@reubles Me too, I had a big crush on her.

@JimboSaturn I think we all did!
Aww she was a great actress

@pripyatamusementpark Yeah - it's weird. People are aging and changing without us realizing it....we expect them to kind of just be there....like Mick Jagger....
R.I.P. I loved her in Tootsie.🥺
