My 18 year old daughter wanted to watch The Talented Mr. Ripley last night

I have seen this, and it's such a good movie. Ripley wanted to be so much like Dickie, but he dug such a deep hole for himself that he couldn't get out. . I won't spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't seen it but worth watching.

You should check out the movie “Purple Noon”
It’s a French version of Ripley good version of the book. Made at the time when bad guys always get caught in the end.

The talent of Mr Ripley was an existential question. Both the shame and courage to live a lies? to celebrate a talent like that it aroused moral questions . I enjoy the movie too but not without questions.

Doesn't that have male nudity? Is that appropriate for an underage girl?

I watch the movie Raise the Titanic the other night. My son thought it was real that they really did it.

Do you have to pay out the wazoo for new movies...are all their movies years old like that?

Yes,saw it some years ago now - an unusual movie,and a pretty good one too.

I really like Phillip Seymour Hoffman in that film ..

It's a good movie. Not a fan of Mattt Damon. He rocks the role.
