Anyone watching "Masters of the Air"?

I started watching it last week. It's okay, but I don't see it being anywhere near as good as "Band of Brothers."

I plan to watch it.
I watched Band of Brothers and also Pacific.
It's very hard to beat BOB. It was excellent

It's on Apple TV, so I'll grab the box set when it's released. I don't think it can top BoB, because that series was released at a moment in time that won't be repeated. It's a different world from 2001.

@Richard65 True, and where BoB had comments with the actual men, most of them are gone now.

@exexec good point. Seeing the actual men depicted in BoB really resonated. Having said that, those brave bomber crews deserve our respect, so hopefully the series will do them justice.

The Pacific was nowhere near as good as Band of Brothers.

@Longpatrol I agree. I have the DVD set for Band of Brothers and watch it every Memorial Day weekend, just to remember. I'm actually reading the book now.

Would love to watch but don't have netflix or whatever it is on. I guess I will wait until it gets other places.

But YouTube sure does like to advertise it. The other day I watched a two hour documentary and like every 10 minutes they showed the same damn ad with no ability to skip (I was streaming YouTube on my TV).

I suspect Band of Brothers will be the one everything else in the genre tries to live up to.😷

@ChipmunkErnie It is on Apple + and is about the pilots who flew bombers and fighters during WW II over Europe.
