Well, those would be two separate occasions, as you can't (or shouldn't) be both competitor and host in the same see-and-be-seen publicity beanfeast.

Otherwise I'd like to think if I had been in those sorts of trade-show circles, simply being nominated shows someone thinks your work is good.
