With all the money our gov't is spending shipping them all around the country, they could have just used that money to send them back to the country they came from.
@IM5688 Those countries have failed their people. I’m no supporter of the obscenity at our border but I believe many do want a better life.
That said I am not so sure about the apparently very healthy, “ military aged” males entering our country unaccompanied by spouses and children.
I could be wrong but in my opinion, there is a reason they are here and they’re from many parts of the world.
What grabs my attention is with the outbreak of hostilities in the Middle East our FBI decides to tell us there might be those who sympathize with terrorist entities and might act here.
NO FUCKING SHIT SHERLOCK!!
A fucking day late and a dollar short!!
Makes you wonder who is pulling the strings and their intentions.

Fascism in the very city where they have a monument inscribed with Give us your poor tired and hungry
Get rid of the shelters and watch people freezing to death on the street

@Picklebobble2 The mayor of NYC said to keep the border open. Fact is, Eric Adams is not the smartest person to ever enter politics.
NYC is as per Adams going to see a 5% cut in all city agencies to support migrants.
Yet he no longer sees the Cumbaya of a sanctuary city, got it shoved up his ass by the Administration in DC.
The reality of letting his battleship mouth overload his rowboat ass has him
In a bind and he’s screwing the people (many of them who voted for him).
The webs he weaves…

Maybe they can build a tent city underneath a freeway overpass like they did in Los Angeles. Would be a shame if it caught on fire like that one did this week.

The other problem is that the Latin American migrants are stealing from stores, dealing drugs and prostituting out of the shelters and hotels they are placed at. It’s a huge problem
I’ve heard a number of Venezuelans have opted to leave Chicago for their home country. The “ Hawk” as Lou Rawls sang, “ will knock you down”. Winter in Chicago- you don’t survive on the streets.

@Musicman NIMBY
@Musicman Remember, Barack and Michelle had shitfits when migrants landed in Martha's Vineyard.

Can you save money on your vacation if you get one of them to get you a plane ticket on the cheap?

Guess what part of the US is not full, has ample room, generally is not freezing in the winter?
Texas.
You might want to compare, say, Manhattan to Texas on a map sometime. One's very very densely crammed and way up north. The other has vast wide open spaces and is way down south. This isn't rocket science.
So it's utterly stupid to bus and fly immigrants out of Texas in the first place, and nothing but a purely political game with actual human lives.
If the US didn't have a federalism system, common sense would win out here. People — both native-born citizens and immigrants alike — would be wherever it is most logical for human settlements to be (e.g., not straining the draining aquifers of the desert southwest during accelerated and human-driven climate change). A federal system rather than a unitary system may well be the death of the US.
