Next person I require information on is Don Lane

Here in Australia we called him the Lanky Yank.
He was host of the Don Lane show from 1975 to 1983.
His side kick was Bert Newton.
Can anyone remember him?
How is he doing now?

Sadly, he died a while ago. He had alzheimers at the end.
