saw something the other day , a Sparrow had a piece of Raisin bread but this small black colored bird with a yellow beak

Sparrows can be little characters. Back over 10 years ago when we had a record setting heat wave I kept a deep clay saucer on a stand filled with water in my front flower bed. Some of the birds like jays would jump in and splash most of the water out. The flock of sparrows would come throughout the day to drink. One day I was sitting at the computer and a sparrow flew up and bumped itself on the window screen. I looked out and saw that the saucer was empty & refilled it. Happened a few more times. Then a squirrel did it late one morning. 😂 The squirrel learned from the sparrows how to bump up on the window screen to get my attention and get the water refilled.
