Don't know who needs to hear this, but fast zombies aren't zombies!

Find something else to call them. They inspire a completely different type of fear. Fast zombies are about the adrenaline, the jump scare, the chase, and sudden end.

Zombies are slow. Slow but innumerable. You CAN run. You CAN try to hide. But they are always going to be there, shuffling ever closer, entrapping you within an inescapable wall of undead. They do not represent the gory horror of a fast death. They represent the dread of the inevitable. They give us the time to torture ourselves with our own thoughts. They give us the suspicion that those among us could try to hide a bite or scratch and betray us. And as one by one survivors are picked off they bring the torment of isolation and solitude.

A lot of adrenaline junkies like these fast undead that get their blood pumping. But the real terror lies with zombies and the time they give us to become our own worst enemies.

If your zombies aren't controlled by a dark ritual can you really call them zombies.

Are they real though or just in the movies?

A lot of games and whatnot just call them "The Infected" when you're fast.

You know a thing or two about horror.

@BlueVeins When we start looking for realism, most zombies aren't going to last anyways. Heavy heat really amps up the decay. Freezing cold, well the dead don't really generate body heat.

@ViciDraco They would need to be quite strong aswell. I don't know if a person can be strong after decomposing for a while. I thought about this a lot when watching The Walking Dead.
