The Shining, is it as good as everyone says?

There are some crazy theories out there, kubrick was either a lunatic or a visionary. If you like the movie, sell it to me.

Yes, but it's also a special movie to me, as I first saw it when I was 12 and it haunted me. To modern audiences it probably feels slow and tame. Not in 1980!

@Harmonium1923 Yup, my parents were out of the house at the time. The twins probably wouldn't scare anyone these days, but when I was 12 it was pure horror, as was the blood coming out of the elevator, and the old woman.

Even the opening credits scared me -- that music.
