What's Your Favorite Bruce Willis Movie?

So when the Bruce Willis news came out the other day, I just coincidentally happened to be watching "The Jackal", which also has quite a collection of notable actors, but i never hear anyone talk about this movie when Bruce is the topic; anyone's thoughts about "The Jackal"?
SW-User
I love “12 Monkeys” and “The Fifth Element”.

He’s great in both. I only remember one scene from The Jackal; when Jack Black is holding up those cigarettes…
SW-User
@Soossie Oh yeah, Last Man Standing. Forgot about that flick. That’s the gangster one, right?

Pulp Fiction is just another level. Brilliant film.
@SW-User

Yes, a gangster movie indeed...

@Soossie @SW-User oh! Yeah i just watched Last Man Standing again a few weeks ago, LOVE that one too!!

Oh, it's very sad about Bruce, sweetie. I remember watching him on 'The One Show', in the UK, and the amount of comments (negative) about him then was unreal...guess it was the starting of his condition.

Not sure about 'The Jackal', hun...must have seen it. Matt loves his BW films. I remember watching the 'Unbreakable' film and just astounded by it all - the continual shots, Bruce's stillness in a lot of the scenes...literally everything! I did wonder - it was way after it was out - why M Night and Bruce didn't get any Oscars for that movie...

Fabulous actor....and, along with Cybil Shepherd, in 'Moonlighting', one of my fav series!

☺️

@CassandraSissy very cool! He's been in a LOT of "B movies" during Covid, and they're all pretty awful and it made me very sad to see him in such movies, i don't know if his condition now was a factor; "Midnight in the Switchgrass" was the only one that was even ok
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@CassandraSissy My favorite line from Moonlighting was Bruce watching Cybil climb a ladder and saying, "Yes, I am looking up your dress"
bookerdana · M
The Sixth Sense....The Jackal is a remake and they never get any respect
SilkandLace2 · 46-50, M
@bookerdana hmm, maybe that's it, but it has my TOTAL respect!!

How many times though do musicians and actors "retire"?

Then they go broke and have to make another comeback.
Ravens80 · 46-50, F
@CestManan not much to expect from hollyweird
SilkandLace2 · 46-50, M
@CestManan yeah, but i don't it will be physically possible for him to unretire from this
TexChik · F
The first Die Hard. That made him.
SilkandLace2 · 46-50, M
@TexChik oh very much so!

Fifth Element was wild.
Pulp Fiction ...
CestManan · 46-50, F
So supposedly he has this aphasia which makes it hard for someone to communicate.
His communication has always been kind of "off" since whenever, so how is it any different now?
HumanEarth · F
His 1987 movie The Return of Bruno.

I personally think this was his break out movie. Plus I found it very funny. Great comedy movie.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@HumanEarth the album was good. His version of Under The Boardwalk was exceptional.
eli1601 · 70-79, M
Besides Die Hard I thought the RED movies were very good.
