I have never watched a full episode of the TV Show - Friends

Does anyone think it is funny?
Is canned laughter used?
In Britain the laughter track was removed.
We don’t like them....
And it was well written and very funny.
Unlike most British sit-coms

@chockaholic2020 I watched it the other day, and as soon as Kramer walked in ...omg just hysterical. But I get what you mean.

Me neither. I tried watching it a few times because everyone I knew raved about it. I thought it was stupid

@Jenny1234 Same here. I started looking at it several times but could not get through 10 minutes before flicking to another channel.

If honest. I didn't like it.
Was just generic silly comedy.

@Gangstress Seems like there is too much laughter at what I consider unfunny things.
That is a live audience?
Gangstress · 41-45, F
@Gusman yes it felt forced. Like laugh when they laugh
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Gangstress Maybe a studio employee standing on the side prompting the audience when to laugh.

It was occasionally mildly amusing. But as I am not a New Yorker, not even USian, it might be that what I found amusing was actually just background.
It’s funny when you’re in your twenties, coz it’s relatable. Much like Everybody loves Raymond.

@Vivaci I couldn’t relate to it when I was in my twenties
😆 ok…I meant generally. @Jenny1234

I saw like two episodes and I really wasn't a fan too! I loved Seinfeld, and The Fresh Prince, hilarious 😂
I believe laugh tracks were used, may have had live audience not sure

That's okay Gus
I only saw a few episodes myself.
