probably won't interest anyone, its so random but I was just watching star trek next generation and

I noticed something weird. on season 4 episode 11, at the 12.58 minute, Data takes cat food from the food machine in a transparent bowl and gives it to a cat but just as the cat is eating you can see an insect crawling inside the cat's food. 🤢

I took a peek on Netflix and yup! The replicator has bugs. Literally. 😉

@stratosranger you checked it out 😂🤣 ? thank you, I wanted to share this with at least one person.
@reflectingmonkey This was just too funny not to go and look and say, “Ewww!” The Enterprise has roaches. 🪳And thanks for the BC. 😀

@stratosranger its fascinating because, of course, there is not enterprise and no replicator, only a studio with sets and props and in this case the prop ended up with an insect in it. I imagined they noticed and they decided to just go with it and hope not too many people notice.

Sounds like a replicator malfunction. Better call LaForge. The cat's name is Spot 🐱

Damn, as much as I've seen ST:TNG, about 20 times over, I never noticed that. Nice find.

[c=800000]I heard in the move "The Alamo," in one of the scenes of the fort, you can see a school bus drive by in the background. [/c]

@ProfessorPlum77 I find this sort of stuff interesting

Troubling.

This is clear breach of the prime directive. No way the insect created a Warp Drive. Federation standards are slipping.

Now I have to go watch it. I've never watched Star Trek in my life, but I need to see this.
Yuck! Poor Spot.

Off subject, but in the original series there are pipes labeled GNDN. This stands for goes nowhere does nothing, source Star Trek encyclopedia.

Maybe it was with the knowledge that animal:insect protein is healthy.
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
@Mindful i'm not sure what you mean
Mindful · 56-60, F
@reflectingmonkey it was a joke, some people eat ants etc. maybe it was on purpose.
Northwest · M
