I have no issue with the sex or age of the actors playing the Dr, but I haven't been able to watch the last few series because the writing has been appalling, often juvenile.
And I know it's never been a serious adult show, but there's definitely been a steady decline since Russel T. Davies left.

I have a dear friend.
I am not sure that I can accurately say, he is a die hard fan but he IS a FAN of all the Dr. Who incarnations :D !

I always have been a fan. Im not sure how much longer I will. We will have to see what the new incarnation is like. So far, it doesn't look very hopeful.

I watched Doctors 1 thru 5, saw the movies, and watched several episodes of Doctor #10. The others I only sampled and didn't really take to.

No need. I gave up on Dr Who a long time ago
