No wonder I watch very little free to air TV these days

Last night I watched NCIS-LA.
There were 10 ad breaks in the hour. Once, they showed 2 minutes of the show then went to another ad break.
They must be making so much money and yet the majority of the programs are repeats.
Very little original content made by Australian Commercial TV Channels
I don’t watch TV at all anymore.. youtube rolls for ambiance

Think of the current situation. Advertisers are scrambling when they have a “captive audience” and our economy is leaning on e-commerce in this current climate. People have shorter attention spans by the day.
You’re just witnessing capitalism capitalizing on an opportunity. At the core it’s just business.

I gave up TV years ago. A couple of shows I like from the Discovery Channel I can get on my laptop. That's it.

i'll stick with my free-to-air tv … mostly watching pbs … no commercials.
