D'oh!, The Simpsons run to come to an end

After 30 years, next season will be the last for Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Snowball, Santa's Little Helper.
I watched it foe maybe twenty years until I gave up watching TV altogether, excepting AFL, Cricket.

At the end of the seventh season, Bart hinted there would be one more season. I watched the eighth season and I've never looked at it since. It was dead even then.

Last I heard this was a rumour, started by the show's composer, that's since been denied by one of the showrunners, who points out that the next season or two have already been ordered by Fox, and there's no plans to stop after that.

Unless there's been another update since then, but having just looked all I see are the denials.

@TheThinker We will just have to wait and see what happens. My State newspaper reported that it is ending.
Producers say it is not, in the foreseeable future🤷‍♂️

@Gusman I'm sure that's the last time i saw it. In the early 80's they went through a phase of killing off a few regular characters. I gave up during the 'cull'.
