...the bible...
DaughterOfGone · 36-40, F
@OnixBre ohhhh!!! i was worried you were a bible nutter who thought making the bible into a bunch of movies would be a good idea, I didn't realise you wanted to show how ridiculous it is.
OnixBre · 31-35, M
@DaughterOfGone In fact, it'd be awesome to have the bible text appear somewhere on the screen as it all plays out.. that'd be perfect :))
OnixBre · 31-35, M
@DaughterOfGone Something like this... but without skipping anything

I believe books should not be turned into movies. A movie never does the book justice and it just ruins it for me.
DaughterOfGone · 36-40, F
@PrettyLesley every now and again they do it right and it can be a good experience

There are two, by Author Nicholas Evans. Author of the Horse Whisper...
1) The Loop.
2) Smoke Jumper.

I even emailed him to ask if that was possible. He replied, sadly no, that Hollywood is only interested in Making movie after movie of DC/Marvel comic books.
For real.

He told me to never give up my dream of getting published. 😊

No but I have heard they have been trying to make "Catcher in the Rye" into a movie for years. J.D. Salinger refused. I hope his heirs respect his wishes.

Yes and no. Yes because it would be amazing to see my favorite books come to life. But no because they probably would screw it up. They would pick characters that dont fit what im imagining.
YoMomma ·
Movies are far inferior to books imo

They cant capture the complexities of full imagination
DaughterOfGone · 36-40, F
@YoMomma I agree, but sometimes it's a bit of fun to see a book turned into a movie, and there are a few movies that I think are better than the book
YoMomma ·
@DaughterOfGone oh i guess :)

I want them to redo vampire academy and actually make an effort, the movie that came out was terrible, WHYD THEY HAVE TO TRY AND RUIN A GOOD THING.
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
They did. The movie was horrible. I was very disappointed.
DaughterOfGone · 36-40, F
@ScarletWitch what was it?
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
Maximum Ride Series by James Patterson
JupiterDreams · 31-35
The Women in the Walls by Amy Lukavics

They'd probably turn it in to a crapfest though...
“Another Country” by James Baldwin. Now that someone contemporary has discovered his work (“If Beale Street Could Talk”), maybe they’ll check that novel out, too.
