The numbers dont stack up

An Iranian drone costs about $100,000... A patriot missile used to shoot said drone costs $2,000,000 and they launch them in pairs to get a better chance of destroying the drone, which can still cause incidental damage when it hits the ground. And the drones can be built at approximately ten times the speed of the missile systems..Patriot and similar systems are already being shipped from US bases all over Asia as the Arab nations are running out fast..This is a war of attrition that Iran may yet win. And even if it doesnt, it is a war of economics it is already winning..
No one wants to see that happen. Certainly not me.. But it is showing up the weak link in relying on the tech, against having the numbers..😷

No the money doesn't add up, the US is so rich that it can waste money in such a manner....... Yet this administration cast many of its people out of government assistance cutting off the programs. The only difference is here in the US this administration allows people live to struggle and or possibly die too.

This war or as the Trump administration wants to say skirmishes / deployment is doing more harm than good for the people.

@Charity I dont know where you have been, but the US is almost $40 TRILLION in debt to other nations. Thats in addition to carrying nearly $19 Trillion in household debt with America. Neither of those numbers are ever going to be paid off. The interest bill along is untenable.. America isnt rich. Its been spending other peoples money for decades. When you think like that Trump is the perfect representative President for America. Hes had multiple bankruptcies.😷

The orange 🍊 clown 🤡 has already added $4.5 trillion to the American debt with his big stupid bill for tax cuts to his rich friends and it’s estimated that the war with Iran is costing a $ billion a day
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@pdockal @Strictmichael75 On this one point I agree with both of you. Neither side of US politics does anything for the people. 😷

@whowasthatmaskedman

how would you know anything anyway
you NOT in the USA
so you only listen to the propaganda
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@pdockal Sorry Sweety. Its American media that is the propaganda. I have been there and watched the news and current affairs shows offer you 20 seconds of facts, two minutes of commentary on what you should think about it, and five minutes of a Barbie good alike talking to a Ken Doll about what Kim Kardashian or Kanye West were wearing when they were asked about it..😷

Don't forget the cost of 3 F15's lost to "friendly fire" that is quietly being swept under the rug.

Iranian drones are very cheap. US and company are spending millions to shoot down drones costing Iran as little as $20,000.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@emiliya

Yes, the U.S. has developed inexpensive, low-cost one-way attack drones to counter Iran's, most notably the LUCAS drone, which costs roughly
per unit and is designed for mass deployment.
pdockal · 56-60, M
The US is deploying drones heavily inspired by and modeled after Iran's Shahed-136 kamikaze drones, known as theLUCAS(Low-cost Unmanned Combat Attack System). These are not the exact same drones, but rather US-engineered replicas designed to mimic the low-cost, one-way attack capabilities of the Iranian, which were first used in combat by the US in early 2026.
