It was the pills all along
A few months ago I was reading a story on a news site. It was about people with things like Parkinson's Disease etc. However they were reporting many people had developed overwhelming sexual urges once they were prescribed dopamine antagonists.
I've been on those drugs for years to treat my Tourette Symptoms. Suddenly I'm thinking....
I get an appointment with my GP and they refer me to the hospital consultant. He did a phone call and wrote back to the GP. I reduced them slowly. Now completely off them.
Tics are up. But not as bad as they have been on the drugs when really stressed. And... My bonkers sex drive massively reduced. I've thought I was abnormal for so long and it was the drugs all along.
It got complicated with my bf and we've split up now but that's probably best. I think I need to be single for a while.
