As a person living with Tourette's, it is not a life ending condition. Recent treatments, unlike 10yrs ago, work quite well with little to no side effects. I lived with it undiagnosed until 2010. By then I started destroying my neck joints with repetitive neck cracking. The new medication I am on works great. Inexpensive too. See a good neuro surgeon.

@Livingwell we both see a neurologist regularly. And we're on meds for it. It was hard to hear because it's one more thing she has a live with. Her tics a mild compared to mine

@Cigarguy I hope both of you can live symptom free one day. I finally found a med that works. 98% tic free.

@Livingwell my tics and outbursts are way worse than hers. But I've only been seeing a neurologist for a year now to try to help with them. Can I ask what medication you take
Livingwell · 61-69, M
@Cigarguy a combo of Abilify and clonidine. My tics were destructive. My neck is fused now.
OCD is a companion of Tourette's. The cure of this was life changing. Sertraline

@Livingwell I'm very glad that combination of meds is working for you. Life is definitely easier without tics and outburst. I don't know if I'll ever get to that point. My tourettes is pretty severe

@Cigarguy Mine was very severe.
