Wow! I feel happy!

Today...I woke up without my heart racing!! Ordinarily....like the moment I become conscious when I wake up that I am in bed....my heart starts pounding to where I feel sick basically. It does not stop until I go to our bathroom and listen to the running water from the shower for a little while. It often propels me to have to get out of bed *immediately*.

Last night I was able to use my calm down skills before bed for the first time again in a while. I had a hard week. I was struggling with it. But last night I just worked on thinking positive and comforting thoughts as I went to sleep....and I also did PMR and a breathing exercise beforehand too.

I woke up...and for like the first time in MONTHS. My heart did not race or feel like it was going to pound out of my chest the moment I gained any consciousness. It was just...normal. I was able to lay in bed....and wake up gradually. (I was also WAY less sweaty! Normally I wake up totally drenched clothes stuck to body. It was hardly anything this time!)

I got excited and wanted to post about it. Hehe. First morning in months no racing heart waking up. Wow!
