Today my psychiatrist told me something very interesting about OCD and hallucinations

Because we were talking about my psychosis worries,
I brought up that in the past I seen black tattoo like symbols before I started taking antidepressants, but they went away after the meds started to do their thing.

And she told me that OCD'ers often see things related to their obsessions.

And she also told me that if it was psychosis, then I would more than likely need antipsychotics for it to go away.
But it went away with Prozac.

And I later looked it up and they're called quasi hallucinations, and even tho they're hallucinations, they're still not fully convincing to the sufferer and usually they know they not real.

I dunno,
This was just reassuring...
And also mind blowing.
I never knew that could be related to OCD

Interesting you'd mention this!
I have OCD too, and used to see weird black symbols too before Citalopram.

@basilfawlty89 woah, really?

If you don't mind me asking,
Did the symbols look like anything in particular?

Mine were like those black tribal symbols similar to the ones Māori people have,
Accept in the shape of a sun sometimes spirals, and sometimes spiders

@Fishy mine kinda looked kinda jagged, like rocks or thunder.
