On some days when my ocd is going to be bad, I’ll wake up with some words or a song repeating in my head

I’m not actively thinking them, they just repeat by themselves. Anyway, good morning and severe plaque psoriasis

I have songs on repeat in my head too, I think that's one real common thing. I don't know if I've ever met someone who don't get random songs in their heads at any time of the day. Is this alone enough criteria for OCD diagnosis or are you self diagnosed?

@Queendragonfly oh yeah, this feels different than having a song stuck. This is only upon waking, and I’m not like.. saying the words? Like I’m not thinking the words or going along with them. It can happen at other times as well, but that is usually like an intrusive thought loop where a phrase gets stuck in my head and repeats very loudly, to the point where it’s hard to think.
It’s usually a pretty bad phrase.
You’d have to look into diagnostic criteria for ocd. I was diagnosed in 2009 but have been dealing with it since I was a kid.

@itsok ah ok. That's different yes. My inner songs are not extremely loud or distracting.

How you describe it reminds me of when I heard a really loud "JUMP!" when I was waiting on a train. It came from inside my head and I have no idea what was going on and it only happened that one time. Really weird, freaked me out.

But I have DID so maybe it was am alter but that's scary too if they're they self destructive

@Queendragonfly I’m so sorry. I hope you have a lot of support.
