How do I know if my BF is really a narcissist?

Whenever I see posts about narcissistic people my bf has all of the qualities. How do I know if he’s really a narcissist? What would he do? I don’t just wanna put a label on him but I think he has it. Is there anything narcissists do to get help? Medication or anything?

narcissism is a personality disorder. Far as I know the only treatment would be therapy to try to retrain thought processes and behaviors. But you can show a lot of signs of something and not "have" it.. All mental disorders are on a spectrum. (You can be sad but not have depression, anxious but not actually have an anxiety disorder, etc.)

Keep in mind my abnormal psych class was several years ago.

You sound correct to me, of course my abnormal psych course was over 40 years ago!
