Really, I'd just need background information about the shit he's said and did. Personally, this doesn't seem substantive because he doesn't directly address the harm he caused to you and he characterizes his bad behavior as "holding grudges," which is basically saying that whatever he did was provoked. If he's deeply mistreated you or if he's truly a narcissist as you say, then this whole post of his is hogwash. I also think it's a case of asking for redemption without making any firm promises and that's a red flag in my eyes.

It seems sincere, but he said he was inspired by a book. Being sincere in a moment doesn’t necessarily last.

always felt like that and i know i have built and i m still building a wall, i just don't regret it. surely, u feel numb and lonely and u just listen to yourself, which is bad, but this anyway allows you to reach the destination you want. but you feel less things. now, he changed but he will probably have to deal with many new and more intense emotions and truly understand if he likes it or not. i m happy with my wall, because only some people can be around me and this makes me feel protected, for now i don't feel like i m strong and mentally stable enough to destroy my wall, but it's just a long story. i m k with the feeling of protection i created around myself, but i can admit i ve never deeply lived my life, but rn i don't regret it lol

Feelings are slippery things. It takes a looooong time to change. Emotions become habitual.

A therapist once told me when dealing with a narcissist, “Tigers don’t change stripes, leopards don’t change spots”. I’d have to see a lot more sincerity and actions before believing it.
