I Had A Violent Meltdown
I was hoping that yesterday would've been my day to decompress after the week I had. Not just because of losing my girlfriend, but because business has been slow to pick back up. Most of it has resumed, thankfully.
My mother wanted to drop by and she'd completely missed the text giving her the ok to come to my place Friday afternoon. So, she showed up yesterday. I was raw and I didn't clean up my place quick enough.
She began cleaning my kitchen and wanted to take me out to get more cleaning supplies. While shopping, I'd begun to get overwhelmed and almost cried in public. I avoided that.
We got home and she was moving at such a pace that I couldn't take it, and I melted down on my couch. Loud. She stopped to see what was going on. I refused to tell her about the breakup, I'm not ready yet. But she knew I had a very bad week.
For once, instead of trying to psychoanalyze me, she listened when I suggested that she do just that. She didn't try to pry me for information, as she used to do. She just held me. That was different for sure.
We went out to eat after I calmed down and when she dropped me off home, I passed out on the couch. I woke up this morning raw, exhausted, motivation to do anything.
