What is your primary coping strategy when you're suffering from anxiety?

I retreat and want to hide from the world. I don't want to go anywhere. I prefer to sleep but can't sleep when feeling anxious.

I had some anxiety recently after a quick forming tornado hit the city in February. Unfortunately I chose to drink caffeinated coffee and it was about 9 p.m. and couldn’t get to sleep until about 4 am. I have some sleep capsules with magnesium, melatonin & lychee in them and should have taken those instead or some Valerin, which is valerian root with passionflower and magnesium, that would have been helpful, it’s a natural muscle relaxer. Chamomile tea would have been good too.

@perceptivei Yes it is and Valerin (name brand) is a good combo.
