Not sure why

It's not like I have friends here that text me.
But i keep logging in to SW to see if someone texted me.

I check my phone frequently for messages, even though I know nobody is there.

Being lonely for a long time sometimes makes you delusional.

Checking like that will drive you nuts, and make you feel much worse. You are right about loneliness. It can make you needy, but if you are alone long enough – I mean for years – you stop caring. You kind of go dead inside, which on one hand is a negative, but on the other, it’s a relief to be free of needing to be significant to someone. You become significant to yourself. This probably doesn’t help you because you are at a different stage of the journey, and I’m sorry that I can’t offer a solution. {hugs}
