Has anybody else been to therapy? [I Am Depressed]

I've done a couple sessions so far after putting it off and trying to keep my mental problems to myself for the past 15 years or so. Hoping it does something, though I imagine it's going to take years to undo my thought patterns lol.

I hope it gets you on the right path, I didn't find it so useful personally. yes, in my adolescence my parents waisted a lot of money on psychologists because I suffered from depression, it was utterly useless. what did help (in order of positive effect): 1: nutrition, quitting sugar, reducing carbs and eating at regular times, never going more then 6 hours without eating (except at night of course). 2: exercise (if I go more than 2-3 days without exercising I feel horrible) 3:meditation , helped me way more than any shrink, learned to deal with my past and become master of my mood. 4: taking psilocybe mushroom every 6 months or so, way before science discovered it, I had noticed totally by accident that when i took mushrooms I was without depression for months after. it would take too long to explain why, but among my friends we call it a reboot, helps to rediscover the beauty of everything. 5: eliminating toxic people from my life. I haven't had depression in years, can't even remember when.
