I Am Depressed

when i was younger i tried to get antidepressants but becuz i dont have the advantage of just sneaking them i have to do it the legal way. in the hospital in february i was actually brave to talk about it but of course they were like [i]we need permission from ur parents before putting u on something[/i] so i was like great........so talking about it was wasted. it would at least be decent living here if i could just conveniently go anywhere or do anything

Doctors don't really have the best interest for you. Ask them to help you for free, no insurance involved. If you took antidepressants long term, they might proclaim next that you're bipolar. Depression can be temporary, recurring or ongoing. Its a matter of accepting but I know, its not so easy. Bipolar btw is one of the many disorders to portray you as mentally ill. Our minds aren't perfect but we're worth it. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone has had at least one instance of controlling their impulses, ex. anger & sadness. Theres a documentary about how psychiatrists make up disorders that can fit the bill for everyone & then they push pills. Pills aren't the remedy. I hope I'm not intruding, just trying to help.

It does suck trying to get help for yourself as a minor when your parents aren't supportive. The best I could do was see my school psychologist because they wouldn't even let me see a therapist or anything. I was suicidal at the time and dealing with a LOT.

Once I turned 18 and went to college though I was able to finally get help for myself and start on my journey to recovery. I hope you eventually got help as well.
