I Battle Depression

I was sharing something with a friend in the UK that
happened one night a few weeks ago...

I was coming out of the 24 hour Walmart..
It was 1 am in the morning..
I like to shop when there is less people ...

The security guard offered to walk me to my car ....
He was very kind and thoughtful ..
He was a large black man,
and neatly trimmed out in his uniform.

I had been so depressed and lonely for weeks,
I don't why, but I suddenly asked him
"Would you please kiss me?"
Startled for a moment, he looked at me and saw how lonely I was ...

He bent down and kissed me, and I felt his warm lips on mine ....

Then I knew I was real ,and alive ...

I hate that you battle depression, do many don't understand how bad that is.

@Subsumedpat Very true, depressed people are often depicted as being lazy, unmotivated, and low achiervers. Good counseling and the right meds made a big difference for me. But that does not discount the fact that fatique, stress, add the abrupt change in life that we have had to make becausse of the spread of this virus, can affect both the mental and physical health of many.
