I Battle Depression and Anxiety

Never say these things to someone who suffers from depression, or any other disorder/mental illness:

"You just need to give yourself a kick in the ass."
"No one ever said life was fair or easy."
"There are a lot of people worse off than you."
 "Everyone gets depressed sometimes!"
"Maybe you should take vitamins to feel better."
 "You need a hobby."
 "Just pull yourself together."
 "Just try a little harder!"
"You have no reason to feel this way."
"You will be okay. Just hang in there, it'll pass."
"If you don't like feeling that way, then change it."
"You have it so good, why aren't you happy?"
"Just think of all the things you should be happy about."
 "It's all in your head."
 "Get out more."
 "Stop feeling sorry for yourself."
 "Maybe you're just lazy?"
 "You're young, don't be depressed."
"Be grateful for what you have."
 "Don't be so negative."
"I thought you were stronger than that."
 "Just snap out of it!"
