@Allelse I have had to deal with anxiety lately. Not fun. I feel defeated at times but lyrics like this give me a glimmer of hope. How do you deal with yours ?
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Underconstruction I meditate, I hike, I write down what I'm feeling, I come on here and talk to people about it, I masturbate, I enjoy abit of pleasure food.

What is it exactly that's giving you the anxiety?
@Allelse Work issues.

@Underconstruction Are all the people you work with morons?
@Allelse LOL, no, it actually doesn´t have to do with who I work with.

@Underconstruction Oh ok, normally that's my problem, I end up working with a bunch of complete nutters who drive me insane. Is it problem with the work then?
@Allelse Yes, basically I need to learn how to face the uncertainty that comes with it ( I work on my own ) and learn how to pace my life accordingly.

@Underconstruction Yikes, sounds like you might need to sit down, pen and paper and just write down what you're feeling, what you fear but!! Also what you want out of life.
@Allelse Yes, that´s exactly what I need to do.

@Underconstruction If you're feeling abit uncertain about things, about the flow of your life, its sometimes good to have like a mapped out schedule kind of thing. Of what you want to do each day, even if you take an hour our half hour out of every day which yu put aside for meditation, or to go for a walk or write how you're feeling.
@Allelse Yes, those are very good ideas. Now that we are approaching a new year I think this is the right time to do that and evaluate life and all that comes with it.

@Underconstruction One day at a time and remember that you cant serve from an empty vessel, so make sure you look after yourself. 🤗
@Allelse

So true

That´s how I felt when I started posting tonight but now I feel more hopeful and understood. Thanks🙏

@Underconstruction I'm glad you're feeling better!! :D Though that does bring to mind that you have felt better after talking about it, so that maybe you might want to consider talking to a therapist. I've talked to a therapist before and it did me a world of good.
@Allelse It´d be great to find one who does this type of coaching. Talking helps but at this moment, being given practical tools to overcome this feeling that I´ve had about it all is more helpful. Your advice has been very helpful.

@Underconstruction Glad to have helped. Another thing you can do is keeping an eye out for intrusive negative thoughts, recognising them for what they are and writing down why they're bullshit.
@Allelse Those are the techniques I need to know, sometimes I feel overwhelmed by those thoughts and even though I know I am more powerful than them I let them dictate the mood for the day which isn´t good.

@Underconstruction Two of these kind of negative, intrusive thought things I get are -

Fortune telling - When I assume I'll know what's going to happen, and that its always negative.

Mind reading - That I believe I can guess what a person is thinking in a negative way. When really, it doesn't matter what they're thinking or what they think of me.

Note to self : Change the above mentioned thoughts.

@Underconstruction I also sent you a list that has alot more on it than just those two.
