I'm sorry you're hurting, Scott. I used to live like that, but I never wanted liquor. Just not for me. You're not a failure, Scott. You've got a void inside you're trying to fill. Vodka may feel good for a time, but when you come back to reality, the problems will still be there.

Don't be so hard on yourself, please. You cannot do better, until you know better. Life is about lessons and choices, and learning from them.Whatever mistakes you made in life, were to teach something. One good thing about life. When we mess up, we learn from that and do better. If you had known better, you would have done better. And if you [b]did[/b] know better, but did it anyway, you now see that didn't serve your best purpose or interest, so just change what you're doing and make better choices. It's never too late to start over. If you keep doing what you've done in the past, the results will never change.

It's no crime to start over. We [b]all do[/b]. If you need to talk, feel free to pm me. You can change this. You don't need the Vodka. You already have the power within you to improve your life. I'm 70 years young. All these years it has been a process of adjustments and improvements, lessons and choices, as with everyone else on this planet. You're no exception. If I can do it, I know you can. Amongst other things I learned, is that if you change your mind, you'll change your whole life. You're no quitter. Make your life count again. I know you can.

You know you have the power to change your future, to make it better. Keep going man...

There are no failures...just experiences and your reaction to them. The only real failure in life, is the failure to try. When you don't realize how close you were to success, and gave up. Success builds character, failure reveals it. Try, and fail...but don't fail to try. Our imperfections and failures, are as much a blessing from God, as our successes and talents, for without them, we would have neither.

There's no secret to success. It is the result of preparation, perseverance, and learning from our attempts. Failure is nothing but a detour...not a dead-end street. It's not that a successful person has any better ideas or ability than you. They just have the courage to bet on their own ideas, take the risk, then act.

Failure is the tuition you pay for success. Success is never final; failure is never fatal.

Forgiving yourself is the only way forward.
