Anyone struggling with identity fragmentation with BPD?
I have bpd. It has a notorious reputation. Anyone else has it or knows anything about bpd associated identity fragmentation?

I was some years ago given a diagnosis of borderline pattern personality disorder.
At that time I was in a treatment centre for alcohol misuse. The doctor there thought my alcohol abuse, self harm and suicidal feelings were driven by that.
I'm personally not so sure. Since staying sober my mood doesn't swing like it used to and I've worked hard on my self worth.

@Strontium for me did alcohol cause the personality problems or was alcohol a symptom of the personality problems?
I don't know. For me sobriety is my number one aim now. I still have fears of rejection, I don't have the suicidal thoughts anymore, the anger is less and better controlled on the whole. But I still have insecurities about who I am at times (my imposter syndrome is a constant noise) and the paranoia can raise it's head as a result of that.
