Has it gotten any better? If not I’d definitely tell the dr and keep reminding yourself those bad thoughts are the meds, not you.
Julien · 36-40, M
@MellyMel22 in a way yes because I’m trying to convince myself that they are in fact side effects.
Thanks for checking 🙏

@Julien If it doesn’t stop, you should share with your Dr to be safe!

Um, yeah, I kinda think I need to find someone to work through my issues. I'm a white night with poor boundary issues I guess. More of a door mat actually. This is in regards to relationships. I also seem to get stuck in relationships with women who love me but i have very little feeling for them. And the ones i do have feelings for don't seem to reciprocate and it feels like they are just using me. They say pretty words but then disappear. I guess I've just never found the right chemistry. Perhaps there are lots of fish in the sea but they're not biting on what I'm casting out. Some nibble all of the bait but won't latch on. Others just swim by. The ones that do bite are few and far between and have major issues. Different issues from mine. Alcoholism seems to common with them and i don't drink. Some have fear of abandonment. Some were sexually abused as children. In trying to help some of them I feel like I've kinda made a mess of things.
I'm also retired and trying to figure out this stage of life. My testosterone is very low and my weight high which also affects my reactions and emotions. I am down to 264 lbs now. I'd like to get back to 220 or even 200.
If this stress keeps up I might make it as I have no appetite.

I had to stop taking a similar drug cause I wasn't really depressed I just needed the diagnosis to get out of a failing grade, I had paid too much and invested a lot of time to fail, what I remember is that the first few days I had vivid dreams that were scary, I usually don't get such intense dreams, my boyfriend at the time told me your dose is way too high for your size and the fact is the first time it was prescribed to you, so I took the dose my partner told me and then I decided not to it wasn't worth the side effects, and anyways I stopped taking it and everything went back to normal after I passed.

I just saw a documentary about the SSRI they say long time use is like a chemical castration for the body, and withdrawals can be deadly, I am shocked that my Dr prescribed it to me for mild anxiety, I did therapy instead

@Julien yes it was years ago and my husband was prescribed them too but he refused to take it and now he is fine so I am not sure about them to be honest, in the UK they prescribe it to anyone who complains about anxiety or depression.

@Collegegirl23 im very glad you are both doing better . I am in the Netherlands and it is hard to be prescribed anything but paracetamol
Collegegirl23 · 26-30, F
@Julien yeah I prefer that tbh after a while I realised I didn't want to take anything that could harm me in the future but paracetamol and that's only for severe headaches. I just rely on good food, sun and exercise and lots of fasting and relaxing, people think I am ten years younger than my age.

Hey bud I'm on citalopram it does level out after a couple days what milligram dosage are you on I'm on 40 mg a day it's saved my life however it doesn't make a big impact anymore since being on it since 2013 I just upped my dose of lithium that s*** is cray cray yeah I will never go up to 900 mg of lithium my mental health is so sensitive right now my intrusive thoughts hit a peak after I consume nicotine yeah it's not a cool deal but meds are worth it and I'm trying to stick it out even if it means doing one positive thing for myself a day and laying the rest in bed.
