I went shopping

Today I went shopping with my mother. I was feeling very bad as recently I have been feeling very bad about myself and I had just been with my treatment team. My mother said I had to get new shoes because my shoes were coming off at the soles and she got angry at me for not wanting to go. I ended up going but I still wasn’t happy and my mother got really upset and angry. I feel like I can’t do anything right, no matter what I do I always mess everything up.

The fact that your mother got really upset and angry might be more "her stuff" than "your stuff."

Seriously, unless you were goading her or trolling her or something, you are not responsible for her emotions. She is responsible for her emotions. Maybe you do sometimes mess up, but maybe she messes up too.
