Probably for the same reasons some women do the same thing. You never know what's really going on behind closed doors.
Sometimes the desire goes away but the convenience remains.
Some people get what they want and don't want it anymore. Some people need a constant challenge. For them, the thrill is in the chase, not the kill. The kill becomes a foregone conclusion while they're steadily scanning their sector for more prey.
Maybe they think they're invincible and will never be caught and never admit it if they are. The only way you can possibly make a cheater stop cheating is to leave them and never return. That might possibly make them stop cheating on the next one. But they're always going to cheat on you once they start

Another possibility is that it's a preemptive strike when the other one shows signs of capabilities. But that's rare in a true loving relationship and it's usually just a justification

@Jayciedubb i think dissatisfaction, feeling abused and neglected by the partner causes women to cheat. Mostly dissatisfaction.
Like some men don't even know women too have sexual desires not just men and rights to leave them if men misbehave. Neglected and feeling stuck in a marriage unable to leave can also cause women to cheat on my opinion.

@Jayciedubb yes, even some men cheat out of dissafistion. I believe many men cheat for fun tbh or novelty than feeling dissatisfied neglected or suffocating. Its like they get bored of old girls and wife and want new girls. That happens when give into too much fun and get away with cheating.

@sahi81 many women who cheat have a way of justifying it in a way they can put the blame on the man, as if her cheating on him didnt already make him feel bad enough. The ultimate excuse is "you made me do it when you kept accusing me," when the truth was that the accusations were directly related to her guilt.
I've heard some lame excuses come from men too, but rarely do they blame the one whose heart they just broke. ..the lamest one might be when they admit their sin, referring to it as some kind of dirty four letter act, then going on to say, but I make love to you, baby. ..another four letter word
