I learned from the Stanford Prison Experiment why ICE are wearing masks

I figured out why ICE are wearing masks. In the Stanford prison experiment, the volunteer "guards" wore sunglasses and uniforms. It was just one factor that made the fake guards assume the role of real guards and made them more aggressive. Uniforms and sunglasses made the guards feel less like normal participant students, more like authority and hiding behind their eyes, the sunglasses served to make the person less visible or accountable. In my opinion, I think that someone figured it out in our Govt that if they give these uneducated ice agents (we all know their hiring process by a journalist who did an hiring experiment with them,) masks then they'll be more likely to assume their role that our fascist govt wants. This is the purpose, the mask is purposeful.

These aren't trained law enforcement, these are people who got hired because of Trump's aggressive quota so they need regular civilians to adopt their social role internalization, it's not who they originally were but they have to assume that role and whatever the Trump administration wants.

They say it's to protect identity but it's not really about that, they want average citizens to internalize their role as ICE so they can give them permission to do great violence and control people.

It's more than that though, the other factors that made the fake guards violent were things like giving guards permission to establish control by "any means necessary" short of physical violence. And when the prisoners rebelled, this made the guards worse. Many other factors.

The experiment also showed that both the fake prisoners and fake guards by the end of the experiment also thought they were real guards and prisoners. Even the lead psychologist got checked by a woman who came in to observe and told him he had gone too far. By the end of it, everyone assumed their identities were real because their minds were hijacked temporarily.

Common sense really...a uniform makes you part of "us" and everything else is "them"
