@Matt85 Those types have to come up with new theories and write papers to keep their grant money coming in or help secure their jobs in academia.
Here's an idea. Why don't they take all that brain power and and use it to address some of the major world problems. I'm not even going to bring up world hunger or pollution. How about putting your energies into finding a cure for some terrible diseases like cancer? Work on paralysis treatments and cures. Alzheimer's and Dementia maybe.
What about social issues? Homelessness, poverty, food insecurity, and the elephant in the room, the fast shrinking working middle class!?
I'd better stop now, I'm about to get pissed.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@Nitedoc please do not get pissed 🤚 I appreciate what you're saying.

There is some overlap in fringe science with medical science. Things like X ray, cat and mri scanners, that's all physics.

@Matt85 Sure there's overlap and that's great. I just feel like those peoples brains could be utilized for more practical purposes. Grant it's a free country, they can work at what they want. Just forgive me If I don't get excited about their next big discovery.
