It isn't anymore, but as recent as the 1990s, it was considered one. At that point, it was removed from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, which is used to diagnose mental disorders. But....at this point, it's not....but if the individual is experiencing any trauma due to the characteristic, then that condition could be considered a mental health condition.
