1) My cat is not the same as a turkey, as one is MINE and the other is just a random person animal that I'm eating as a meal.
2) Turkeys are dinosaurs and dinosaurs are supposed to be extinct I'm just helping them
3) Do you really want people to start asking why aren't they eating cats? I mean we do have an overpopulation issue of cats, dogs, and horses... do you really want to start people thinking about that as a possibility? As some people do eat them...
4) You have to kill animals to get your farm field to grow products... so kill one turkey for food? Or kill multiple turkeys for land usage to grow tofo or whatever it is you eat...
@Olderguy And it is, for those who like it. But some people have certain principles and some people, like me, just never had a taste for it. I eat it, but I’ve never just put an unadorned piece of meat in my mouth. Except for bacon, that bacon is not a meat. 🤞
Circular reasoning. It's OK to kill turkeys because they're game birds, and they're called game birds because we're not allowed to kill them. It's not OK to kill cats because they're pets, and cats are considered pet animals because we're not allowed to kill them. Meanwhile, there are tons of people who keep turkeys as pets, and likewise tons of people who eat at meat.
@Ferise1 No I don’t feel guilty and you don’t know my views on animals. More pertinently I don’t aggressively abuse people who have different opinions.
Not really. You could keep a turkey as a pet if you wanted. Really, the only difference is that society tells us it's okay to kill turkeys but not cats.
@Ferise1 Lol 😂 it's food not murder 🤣 ... animals eat other living things, weather it's plants or other animals. It's life, you just can't handle the reality of life.
Not the greatest comparison, I agree, for what is actually a fairly valid 'point' about which animals humans get almost rabidly defensive about eating...and which ones they get outraged about other cultures eating.
