It’s societal conditioning..
Society has failed people..
People are left broken in this world..
Lost, with no sense of purpose…
Those types become easier to manipulate or control with a form of ideology, even a bad one, as long as it gives them a sense of structure..
Gang recruitment mostly occurs from poor kids, in broken homes.. They offer them a place that feels like home, feels like family, feels like they’re fighting for something..
Even if the violence causes havoc and chaos in others lives, they’re under the mindset that they’re fighting for those they love and those who matter.. They’re trained explicitly to see anyone else as an enemy..
Basically it’s the same in fallout games when you’re dealing with separate factions, and you have to make choices..
Idk, your home is your home.. Charles Manson simply gave a place of being and belonging to those who felt insignificant everywhere else in life… He simply was an extrovert who approached people.. That’s all it takes sometimes, really..
