I don't like being around people who talk poorly of others mental health struggles.

I rarely see/hear it anymore. Most people can be understanding or at least tolerant.

But when I hear people joke about and pick on others for being anxious, strange, emotional, ect, I wonder what their life is like to not have any understanding or compassion. Especially these days.

That was most of my life growing up in school. According to the other kids at that time, I won't amount to anything.

Interesting how nowadays, I'm a person at my job people come to and rely on and back then I saw straight AAA+++ perfect students were still stuck in 9th grade while I was a senior.

I look back on school and all I see is the abuse I had to endure. I'm proud of myself for getting to where I am in my career.

Sure, that time ended a while ago, but life's experiences stay with you.

@twiigss I understand this. I was very much tormented for being strange until people realized I was good at art and music. My son is bullied because he very smart also. I tell him something similar, one day these people will answer to you because of your gifts.

I don't know what it is about the people that have to pick but I'm glad I don't understand.

@BamPow I think it's been that way for a long time. I don't know when we started promoting bullies and giving them power though. Seems like human nature.
