My diet and health

I hate this but recently I have been eating a lot from outside and unhealthy food.. Idk what it is .. why I am doing this, because I enjoy cooking and I prefer healthy.. Maybe because of work pressure? Well I my schedule has doubled recently due to change in internal plans and I need to get things done before I leave for my short vacation.. Or I am just upset on a personal level 🤷‍♀️ Because work was never a big problem for me.. I like extra responsibilities, but maybe also the stupid environment plays a role..

Idk.. All I know is that I am demotivated and I keep eating unhealthy :(

I also enjoy cooking, but I went through a similar period where I was eating out all the time. I think once we start doing that, it becomes a habit. Going back to cooking involves an initial burst of energy, and the longer we are "lazy" about how we get our food, the harder it is to summon up that energy.

I was single at the time, and it is easy to fall into this trap when we are not responsible for cooking for anyone else. And I also can react to stress as an "emotional eater."

What finally snapped me out of it was realizing how much money that habit was costing me!

Maybe you can cook yourself a nice fancy meal, take a picture, and post it here. You and Miram can have "food porn" wars! That might get you back into the routine! 😄

@DrWatson yes this what annoys me, is that i feel it is a waste of time and health..! I always think that i can make the same thing at home for half the price and larger quantity Nd even healthier... but i still ate outisde .. will try to avoid it ..

I cannot compete with Miram 🥔🥴 She'd totally kick my ass in the kitchen! I can make a thing or two though, and while my food may not look as good as hers, it still tastes good.. this is what I had yesterday and it was agood meal..

Ps i am currently on a pescetarian diet

@BittersweetPotato Looks great to me! I miss living near the seacoast, where I could get really good ocean fish and seafood.

Sometimes you just need to eat junk for a bit of comfort. I'd rather you be chubby cheeked potato than one who is too thin.

@AntisocialTroll I don't mind increasing my weight a little but then i don't wanto to do it through fats which is what this fast food do to one's body :(

@BittersweetPotato I realise that but sometimes it's the only way to gain weight and it's better than being too thin.

I’m like you in that I prefer to cook and eat healthy meals. I find these make me eat unhealthy: not enough Sleep, stress/anxiety, and when I don’t get enough exercise

I love cooking, but sometimes it's effort making food. Like now while moving, it was hard to find time to cook, along with rolling blackouts, being sick, etc.

It's okay to have junk food every now and then. Some restaurants do serve meals that are fairly healthy. I often get vegetarian sushi and it's very low calorie, and you get cucumber and avocado which are healthy sources of fat.
