Do you think they're are more women or men in mental wards?

Having worked in a few mental health settings I know from experience it is men. Women are predisposed to exhibiting emotions which tends to be mentally cleansing. Men try and suppress emotion which eventually can bring on a variety of maladaptive behaviors.

there are more women than men in the world, they suffer more societal disadvantages than men, generally, and their gender bear offspring as a biological function. there's probably a slight biased towards women in this case.

Women.

Men tend to simply off themselves. Women just give it a halfhearted attempt. 😉

“ In the Western world, males die by suicide three to four times more often than do females.[6][9] This greater male frequency is increased in those over the age of 65.[10] Suicide attempts are between two and four times more frequent among females.”

@Adogslife men are more likely to end themselves violently… less chance of survival

Women are more likely to take pills or use other methods

Men.
Not only that, suicide ratio in men is higher than women, heart attacks deaths are higher in men than women. More men are homeless than women all across the world.

Men is either a good donkey (doing good for his family) or a bad donkey ( dick ass type) but they are donkeys anyway.

I been in the mental ward a few times.. I found it a rather even mix of males and females, we slept in separate wings, but mixed in group meetings and the social area / lounge. It didn't seem too one way or the other, even mix from what I recall.

Probably women

More women in mental wards, more men in coronary care wards, reflecting the difference in how men and women , by and large, tend to deal with stress.
I’ve been in the wards at least 16 times, it’s always an even ratio I’ve found, but one time there were many many more men.
Iwillwait · M
Not sure. I would venture to guess more men, simply due to treatment of mentally Ill criminals.

My guess is women.
DDonde · 31-35, M
I would guess even
Edit: the caveat is women tend to be more proactive in seeking treatment.
But "ward" kinda implies that they're forced to be there.
