Stave off that fear with a plan and with goals in mind. You know what's coming and what the risks are - minimize them by already knowing what you'll do to shift those unpleasant feelings. Have a contact list, a social group, an outlet. Plan for winter time outdoor activities.

Don't sit back and wait for problems. Have a plan so they don't come knocking at your door. You can do this - you've survived every single year up to today.

Watch Kubrick movies. They are so bleak and dehumanizing that anything else will lift you up

@FutureIdol You are probably right. His genius was creating a mood but it was always dark.

The Shining wasn't a slasher - but everything about evoked doom and inevitable terror

@Slade Yeah and I have bad anxiety too and that will for sure worsen with the whole doom and inevitable terror.

@FutureIdol I was tongue and cheek when I said it. That being said when I walk out of a dark movie into a hopefully nice day, my mood jump is tangible

You make it sound like this is your first winter ever. I don't get it.
FutureIdol · 31-35, M
@MarkPaul Well it hasn't been this bad since 2014 so it's like a first winter
