In your opinion. Is forgetting someone and omitting them, the same thing?

No.

However to the individual who was forgotten they me be feeling somewhat omitted.

It could be from being overwhelmed by life’s problems and situations or it could be deliberate. If there is a pattern of it regardless of that it is likely a passive way of avoiding someone.
MellyMel22 · F
I don’t think so.
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
It’s the difference between running a red light on purpose or running it because you weren’t paying attention. Different causes, same result.
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
No, because the memories will still be there no matter how hard you try to forget.
Kiesel · 56-60, M
@AngelUnforgiven oh… I’m definitely not trying to forget… but omitting has been challenging
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
@Kiesel omitting is pretty much impossible due to the memories. So yes, it will always be challenging. What we have to do is appreciate what we had, accept the outcome, and move on. Its not hard if you don't hold on to it.
Kiesel · 56-60, M
@AngelUnforgiven yeah…. Ugh
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
One is intentional
Teslin · M
"Forgetting" sounds like a mistake.

"Omitting" sounds like it was done intentionally.
AbbeyRhode · F
Not quite. Forgetting is an unconscious action, while omitting is a deliberate one.
MommaBear · 26-30, F
No forgetting is unintentional and omitting is intentional
