It takes me a while in a relationship to fall in love@hiddenpearl. And when I have fallen, they lose interest.

@mindstruggle with mutual kindness and respect, but I don't know what's happening to people, it's all becoming so sad and disappointing.

@ScreamingFox everything is instant gratification. And overwhelming options. People are chasing that perfect idea of a partner. They find someone, they start to create a connection and another one comes along and catches their eye. People are greedy anymore. Their moral compasses are just spinning in several directions.

@Livingwell Yes, nice guys do exist, however those who brag they are tend to be the opposite.

@Livingwell Women by and large don't want 'nice guys'. The 'nice guys finish last' quip isn't about sex, it's about competition for women in relationships. Women think 'bad boys' are more attractive, have more money, are more available, etc. The irony is that 'bad boys' ie the so-called 'high value' men don't want relationships - they just want hook-ups because their money can buy them whatever sexual flings they want.

@zonavar68 I would agree that some women seek bad boys for the excitement factor. I would also think that by their 40's women have had enough of the bad boy scene and seek a more reliable, trustworthy, and considerate partner. Men have a similar pattern for nasty girls. At some point. Most of us grow up and want someone more stable and real without the drama.
